A few months ago, I was feeling so hurt and numb after many things that have happened in Brazil. Then, one Sunday I was praying and God brought me to tears. He said, “My Son’s blood is enough for all the sin of Brazil.”
John 1:29 (NIV) “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
I remember when I was so desperate for life and I heard the message of God’s love, that Jesus died for me. It was the greatest glory I ever knew, to be cleansed by Jesus’ blood, to have forgiveness and freedom. Jesus’ blood is enough for my sin, for the sin of Brazil, for the sin of the world.
Communities Gripped By An Awareness of God
I was just listening to testimonies from the Welsh Revival. One young man was in court and broke down in tears saying “I’m guilty,” then told the lawyer not to defend him anymore. The judge adjourned the court and told the man how to find forgiveness with Christ, the young man was saved, and the jury sang a hymn.
I’ve heard wailing as people see God’s love meeting their need, turning to laughter with the joy of forgiveness. I long to hear it again. I’ve heard the testimonies of whole communities gripped with an awareness of God’s presence, and the newspapers regularly reporting on the revivals. I’m not satisfied to only hear about it. I’ve tasted and seen that God is good and I want everybody to experience what I have. If the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of God’s glory, let it start now!
They call this the “Love Song of the Welsh Revival.” Hardened sinners would break down in tears and receive God’s gift of salvation as they heard it:
Testimonies Inspire Faith And Believing Prayer
Psalm 77:11-12 (NIV) I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.
Habakkuk 3:2 (NIV) Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known.
Hearing testimonies of what God was doing in the Welsh revival sparked revivals all over the world. We’ve seen people healed as they simply heard testimonies of healing. Likewise, great manifestations of God’s glory have come out of testimony. Will you let the testimonies of what God has done in the past grip your heart and spark faith for the people around you to encounter God? Will you let these testimonies stir you to believing prayer? It’s easy to find testimonies on Youtube. Will you be satisfied with anything less than heaven now? I’m not.
Matthew 7:7-11 (NIV) Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
God is ready and the harvest is ripe! He is looking for people who will give themselves totally over to the Holy Spirit until they become portals of heaven on this earth. Will you say “Yes, Holy Spirit! I invite you to do your work in me and fill every nook and cranny of my heart and soul!”
